Last November, RCC Builders & Developers Project Manager Carl DiGirolamo was presented with the inaugural Msgr. Puma Award from Eva’s Village. Since joining RCC Builders, Carl has been the “go-to guy” for a continuous stream of Eva’s projects, working steadfastly to improve their facilities and broaden their services. This award is given to one who exhibits “compassion and perseverance in continuing the vision of Msgr. Puma”.
Over the years, Carl has overseen numerous upgrades to the Eva’s campus including the expansion of the main dining hall and clinic, the fit-out and modernization of the Hope Residence for Homeless Mothers and Children and the recently completed training kitchen for the new Culinary School at Eva’s Village. Carl has also used many of his long-standing contacts in the construction community to secure materials and labor at greatly reduced costs enabling Eva’s to put the savings directly into their programs.
Despite the many obstacles and difficulties presented by working at a facility which never closes, Carl has guided each project with a careful attention to detail and craftsmanship while never losing sight of Eva’s goal of providing for the poor while respecting the human dignity of each individual. He is a most worthy recipient of this new award.
