RCC Builders & Developers recently completed another much needed improvement project for the centers in Paterson and Passaic.
The project involved the complete renovation of the game room in Paterson. The existing walls were demolished and rebuilt. The ceiling was replaced with new acoustical tile and new laminate and vinyl tile flooring was installed. A special feature was the construction of built-in gaming cabinets at each of the room’s four video stations. Beach Electric also brought their expertise to the project by installing the new lighting package. All work was scheduled so that it would not impact the Club’s regular everyday programs.
Upon completion the area was equipped with all the essentials of a modern game room including pool, air hockey, ping pong and foosball tables along with video games. In addition, the space is filled with groupings of tables and chairs where cards and board games can be played as well as semi-circular seating with comfy pillows suitable for reading and relaxing.
This space gets heavy usage in the after-school hours so the upgrades were well received. Carl DiGirolamo, RCC Builders & Developers Project Manager mentioned that the highlight of the job was getting to see the Club kids enjoying the new facility.
Special thanks go to the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters who generously donated all labor on the project. In addition we thank Charles Shuetz, Beach Electric Co., Inc. and Treptow Floor Covering Service, Inc. for their assistance.
We are currently performing the same type of renovation to the Boys & Girls Club in Passaic. We look forward to continuing our commitment to this great organization.
